Natchez, Miss. (Natchez Democrat) - On Tuesday, Natchez welcomed a new vessel to its port as the godmother city of the American Cruise Line’s newest ship, the American Symphony. Furthermore, by 2025, American Cruise Line’s CEO Charles Robertson said he plans to name Natchez the port of origination for the American Symphony. Next spring, Robertson said American Cruise Lines also plans to introduce a new vessel to the port of Vidalia, Louisiana. “Watch out New Orleans. Neshoba County, Miss. (Northside Sun) - In his Neshoba County Fair speech on Wednesday, Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann said that with state coffers at historically full levels, “This year, it’s time to give you your money back.” “It’s not the government’s money,” Hosemann said. “It’s your money.” Hosemann said that lawmakers could have provided a rebate last year, but were focused on passing the largest income tax cut in state history. Lt. Gov. Study Group for Women, Children and Families Solicits Input From Public
Jackson, Miss. (Mississippi Today) - A committee Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann created to study the needs of women, children and families in the wake of Roe v. Wade abortion rights being overturned has scheduled four hearings and wants written input from the public. Hosemann said on Thursday the bipartisan, nine-member Senate Study Group on Women, Children and Families will hold hearings at the Capitol on September 27 and 28, and on October 25 and 26. Outdoor Stewardship Board Members Named by Hosemann
Jackson, Miss. (SuperTalk) - As Mississippi looks to conserve and improve its outdoors through the creation of an outdoor stewardship trust fund, Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann has named his three appointments to the seven-member board in charge of providing the relative grants to do just that.
