Senate Revives Teacher Pay Raise in 2021 Session

Meetings in Two Largest Senate Committee Rooms to be Webcasted in the 2021 Session

Jackson, Miss.—The Mississippi Senate will add Room 409, the second largest committee room, to its webcasted spaces during the 2021 Legislative Session. In May, the Senate began webcasting meetings in Room 216, the former Mississippi Supreme Court chambers where most committee business is conducted on the Senate side of the Capitol. Jackson, Miss. — A former educator with more than 40 years’ experience in Mississippi schools has been selected as Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann’s appointee to the State Board of Education. Dr. Ronnie L. McGehee of Madison has been selected to serve an eight-year term ending in July 2028, pending confirmation by the Mississippi Senate. The Mississippi State Board of Education includes nine members from across the State, with two appointed at-large by the Lieutenant Governor. Updated committee chairs for 2021 Legislative Session announced

Jackson, Miss. (Lawrence County Press) - Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann announced several new committee chairs on Nov. 2.
