Jackson, Miss. (SuperTalk) – A Ukrainian governor has received some assistance from Mississippi Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann.
During a Monday morning interview on The Gallo Show, Hosemann explained that he recently received a call from Sergiy Hamaliy, the governor of Khmelnytskyi, seeking advice. Khmelnytskyi is an oblast far enough to the west of Kyiv that it hasn’t shelled like some other areas of Ukraine. There are currently hundreds of thousands of refugees in the area.
“I asked him what we can do to help this butchering that is going on by the Russians? And he said well we’re really interested in Katrina houses and how you were able to provide housing for people afterward. Our houses have been destroyed all over Ukraine,” Hosemann said.
Hosemann was able to get all the plans for Hurricane Katrina together and send them over to Hamaliy. But that’s just the beginning.
The lieutenant governor was also asked about food for the refugees. He then talked to folks at the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation about that, and they’ve already started the process of figuring out what they can do to help.
