“Senator-elect Bart Williams is a community leader and brings to the table more than 25 years’ experience as a small business owner. His perspective will be critical to growing our workforce and our economy, which is built on small businesses across Mississippi.
Senator-elect Jason Barrett has a young family and similar experience running a small law office. Coupled with his legal background, he will be an asset as the Legislature seeks to help our State move forward and recover from the pandemic when we reconvene in January.”
Bart Williams was elected to serve as Senator for District 15 (Choctaw, Montgomery, Oktibbeha, and Webster counties) in a Special Election Runoff on October 13, 2020, according to preliminary results. Williams fills the unexpired term of former Senator Gary Jackson.
Jason Barrett was elected to serve as Senator for District 39 (Copiah, Lawrence, Lincoln, and Walthall counties) in a Special Election Runoff on October 13, 2020, according to preliminary results. Barrett fills the unexpired term of former Senator Sally Doty.
